They say everything is bigger in Texas, and after having a chance to check out the H this past weekend, I can absolutely confirm it’s true. Whether it’s from generous plate portions courtesy of restaurants like The Waffle House, LowBrow, or Atlas Pub, the Houston Waterwall park which pumps out a ridiculous 11,000 gallons of water per minute, or just the ridiculous land mass of infamous Buffalo Bayou and Lee & Joe Jamail skatepark, there’s big soul to match a big place. As a city boy I felt a bit like a fish out of water but southern hospitality is a very true thing and a buzzing night life didn’t leave much to be desired. I’m expecting this to be the first of many memorable visits.
